The Challenge:

We are looking for a Project Engineer with an eye towards growing their career in the technology sector. Initially your role will focus on developing core skills in preparing SR&ED tax credit and other government funding programs under the mentorship of senior practitioners.

As you build skills and knowledge, your role will expand to include scoping and interviewing, sales, audit defense, and building client relationships. You will be challenged with more complex and strategic projects on the path to becoming a trusted advisor, and gain a broader view of business and funding challenges facing high growth technology companies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Meeting with clients in the fields of information technology and computer science engineering to assess whether their projects meet the criteria of any of the various government funding programs available,
  • Preparing technical reports to fulfill the requirements of the different funding programs, such as the SR&ED, e-business, and multimedia tax credits,
  • Collecting financial data to calculate the funding the client is eligible to receive, and
  • Participating in various business development activities including: marketing initiatives, conferences, networking, and cold calling.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or other related fields of science or engineering.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills – fluency in French and English
  • Possessing 1-2 years of software development experience considered an asset
  • Great attitude that makes you open to trying and learning new things
  • Valid driver’s license
  • A strong technical and analytical mind
  • An ability to set priorities, solve problems and be resourceful under pressure
  • Flexible with an attention to detail
