Mike Lee, P. Eng., MBA, CFA
Mike has assisted start-up, growing and multinational technology firms secure over $200M in R&D tax credits and other government incentives across Canada, the UK and the US over the last 20 years. He is adept at dealing with the technical R&D admissibility issues as well as navigating the complex R&D taxation rules across these jurisdictions.
Mike works primarily in the medical device, fintech, and software industries. He also co-founded Fundica.com, a successful online and event platform intelligently identifying government and other funding for entrepreneurs. Previously he was Director of Corporate Finance and Development at BCE, Manager, Strategy and Technology Services at KPMG, and worked as an engineer for several software and technology firms.
Mike has a B.A.Sc. in Engineering from the University of Waterloo, an MBA from the University of British Columbia, and the CFA designation.
He also serves on the board of directors of several profit and not-for-profit organizations. He has also been recognized by CFO Canada, Startup Canada, and the Bronfman Foundation for his contribution to the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Canada.
